The Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) Physician Assistant (PA) provides comprehensive perioperative, inpatient, and outpatient support for a growing regional MIGS program. Working collaboratively with four fellowship-trained MIGS surgeons, the PA assists in the operating room, manages perioperative care, rounds on hospitalized postoperative patients, and supports continuity of care across the surgical episode.

Position Highlights Opportunity to work alongside four fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeons. High-volume robotic and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery practice. Broad clinical exposure including operative, inpatient, and outpatient care.
Regional role supporting multiple hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Opportunity to help develop and expand a growing MIGS program and future urgent gynecologic surgery coverage model. Longitudinal involvement across the entire surgical episode, from consultation and surgical planning through hospitalization and postoperative recovery.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide first-assist and perioperative support for MIGS surgical procedures. The PA may also perform preoperative evaluations, see patients in the clinic, enter and manage preoperative and postoperative orders, conduct inpatient postoperative rounds, assist with discharge planning, and provide outpatient consultation and follow-up care. When operating room coverage is not required, the PA will provide clinic support, including surgical consultations, preoperative visits, and postoperative follow-up appointments.
Serve as first assist for minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, including robotic, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and vaginal complexed procedures. Complete preoperative assessments, coordinate surgical readiness, and manage perioperative orders and patient care activities. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing teams, and operating room staff to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care.
Support perioperative planning and assist with urgent and emergent gynecologic surgical procedures as needed. Provide comprehensive inpatient postoperative care, including daily rounds, recovery assessments, treatment planning, and discharge coordination. Evaluate and manage patients with complex benign gynecologic conditions, including endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, and adnexal masses.
Conduct preoperative consultations, surgical counseling, and postoperative follow-up visits to support patients throughout their care journey. Order and interpret diagnostic testing, imaging, and laboratory studies, collaborating with MIGS surgeons to develop individualized treatment plans. Coordinate multidisciplinary care, referrals, and communication among patients, families, consultants, and care teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care.
Required Qualifications Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of one-year surgical experience, preferably with OB/GYN surgeries and procedures Licenses/Certifications Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross

$56.48 to $78.15 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring
