Licensure
✓Must hold an active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA)
✓Must hold current national board certification (NCCPA) by first day of work and maintain.
✓Must hold an active and transferable DEA license to California as required by the clinical specialty.
Certifications
✓Must be eligible for payer enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid.
✓Must hold current AHA BLS and ACLS as minimum requirement.
Education
✓Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
Completion of a surgical residency preferred.
Qualifications
✓Prior experience in wound care and/or minor office based procedures, like sclerotherapy, would be beneficial
✓Length of shift is usually 8-12 hours per day.
✓The Vascular PA position is primarily a walking and standing position with sitting a secondary requirement.
✓Infrequent very heavy lifting and pushing/pulling occurs when assisting with patient transfers and transport.
✓Reaching at all levels is needed for patient care activities and clerical duties.
✓Coordination and agility required to move in small spaces, manipulate equipment, transcribe orders, and operate computer/typewriter, copier, and telephone.
✓Must have good vision and color discrimination, auditory ability, and verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with others.
✓1–20 lbs: Light
✓21–50 lbs: Medium
✓51–100 lbs: Heavy
✓100+ lbs: Very Heavy
✓1–10 lbs: Light
✓11–25 lbs: Medium
✓26–50 lbs: Heavy
