West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Community Practice seek a Primary Care Physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice at our Cranberry Square Clinic in Morgantown, WV. Duties: The successful candidate will practice primary care medicine.
In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a West Virginia medical license. A successful candidate must have completed a family medicine, internal medicine, or med-peds residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in family medicine, internal medicine or med-peds.
All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. The West Virginia University Health System is West Virginia’s largest health system and the state’s largest employer. The System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care in areas such as cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience, among many others.
The Health System operates West Virginia’s first and only multi-organ transplant center, and opened a new, 150-bed Children’s Hospital in September 2022. Today, the WVU Health System has more than 2,400 licensed beds, 3,900 providers, and nearly 30,000 employees.
