PRN position with variable scheduling based on patient volume. Shifts generally begin at 5:30 AM and typically ends at 12:00 PM, with flexibility required as shift lengths may vary. PRN Rate: $45.39/hour ​Assesses and documents patients and family's needs to provide necessary data for quality care.

Gathers and analyzes data to formulate initial nursing care and discharge plans. Identifies and reports patient condition abnormalities to anesthesia or surgeon. Observes and assesses assigned patients during their stay in the outpatient surgery department.

Documents medications, drug allergies, and patient information. Implements and documents nursing interventions and physician's orders accurately and promptly. Prepares and administers medications, IV fluids, and blood products according to orders and hospital policy.

Coordinates scheduling and preparation for various procedures. Communicates with patients and families, providing pre-op and post-op education and addressing their needs. Utilizes the Computerized Physician Order entry process and proficiently uses the Electronic Medical Record for retrieval of patient information.

Maintains a safe environment by checking equipment, stocking supplies, and reporting safety concerns. Participates in professional development and maintain required certifications and competencies. Performs other duties as assigned.
