Licensure
✓3 . Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided:
✓MD: Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians
✓OH: Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology
✓PA: No state license is required
✓WV : Radiological Technologist OR Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board .
Certifications
✓Radiography certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) .
✓4 . Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
✓5 . State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
Education
✓Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
Qualifications
✓One (1) year of experience as a computed tomography technologist.
✓Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.
✓Knowledge of growth and development, understanding of the patient’s needs and scope of treatment.
✓Understands the dynamics for each patient incorporating biophysical, bio-psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, spiritual, cultural, ethical and discharge planning needs.
✓Knowledge of total care of patients, whose disease is not responsive to curative treatment, focusing on the control of pain and other symptoms.
