PRN Inpatient Psychiatrist (MD/DO) UVA Health – Behavioral Health Prince William Location: Prince William Medical Center, 8700 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA Position Overview: UVA Health is seeking a PRN Inpatient Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to join our Behavioral Health team at Prince William Medical Center. This role is a key part of our inpatient behavioral health service line, providing high-quality psychiatric care to a diverse patient population while supporting expanded access to mental health services across the region.

7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (on-site rounding) Key
Provide inpatient psychiatric care on the Behavioral Health Inpatient (BHIP) unit Manage an average daily census of 8–12 patients (on-site and remote) Conduct psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management Provide consultative services within scope of practice as requested Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Deliver care in accordance with all regulatory, accreditation, and clinical standards Support continuity of care and patient needs during transitions
MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry Active Virginia medical license (or eligibility) Current DEA license The base compensation range for this role is$292,910 - $373,642 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status. Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate’s qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education.
