Licensure
✓Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
✓Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within SIX MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.
✓Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
Certifications
✓CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
✓CCM training is required within 6 months of hire and annually thereafter.
✓NY Mandated Reporter within 90 days of hire/transfer
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
✓Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
✓NY Mandated Reporter Training
✓NYS Staff Exclusion List (NYSEL)
UPMC approved national certification preferred.
