✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Must meet and maintain current all unit specific and organizational skills/competencies, certifications/licensures, as required by the nursing area.
✓Valid Florida state license as a Radiology Technologist is required.
Certifications
✓Employees hired BEFORE 2/1/2017 MUST obtain the required ARRT Certification by 12/31/2019.
✓Employees who have completed training at JHS may be granted a grace period of 6 months upon hire to obtain the required certification.
✓Any new hires with external training must have the required certification at the time of hire.
✓American Heart Association and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers may be required at the unit level upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
✓American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers is required upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
Education
✓Associate's degree in Radiology Technology is required.
✓Any Employee who will be performing Point of Care and testing in the Operating Room, Neuro ICU, NICU, PICU, Pedi-ER, Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology areas, the educational degree must be verified at the time of hire.
✓Minimum education level required to be verified is Associate's degree.
Qualifications
✓Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.
✓Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
✓Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
✓Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure.
✓Ability to understand and follow instructions.
✓Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.
