✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Candidates must have a current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) temporary license for student hires and permanent license for registered hires.
Certifications
✓Student candidates must obtain the RT(R)(ARRT) certification within 6 months of their hire date.
✓Must have a valid OHSU approved Basic Life Support CPR card.
Education
✓Must be within 4 months of graduation from approved program.
Qualifications
✓Current student from approved Radiologic Technology Program.
✓Must have completed student competencies under the approved program.
✓Must have demonstrated skills in the following areas:
✓Performing diagnostic imaging studies, Radiation safety, Effective use of equipment, Record maintenance, Infection control, Quality control, Compliance, Patient Communication, Contrast media, problem solving, judgment, teamwork and taking initiative.
✓Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
OHSU-partnered Radiologic Technology program experience. preferred
Level 1 Trauma Center experience; Academic Medical Center experience. preferred

About the role

The function of the Radiologic Technologist position within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging is to perform all phases of technical diagnostic imaging. Radiologic Technologists operate X-Ray equipment used to capture and develop images for the purpose of medical diagnosis. The Radiologic technologist promotes OHSU’s mission statement by delivering high quality, cost effective, family-oriented service.
