Education
✓Equivalent to high school diploma.
Qualifications
✓Ability to interact effectively with patients, visitors and hospital staff of all levels.
✓Ability to read and write English and to perform basic arithmetic computations to verify shipments, complete charge information on Radiology requisitions, and perform stock reconciliation.
✓Interpersonal and language skills to exchange information with other hospital personnel, patients, visitors and vendors.
✓Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
✓Healthcare environment such as acute care hospitals, physicians’ offices and ancillary healthcare enterprises.
✓Works with medical and office equipment; has direct patient contact.
✓Any potential hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions including use safety equipment and protective clothing.
Minimum of three months’ experience, preferably in a patient-care setting. preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
