✓Radiologic Technologist and Technician [State License required
✓Board eligible through the American Board of Radiology.
registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
Certifications
✓Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 90 days of hire.
Education
✓Other Certificate/Diploma Radiography required and Associate's Degree Radiography preferred
Qualifications
✓Must effectively use interpersonal skills to deal with patients and fellow employees who may be under physical and/or emotional stress. Maintains composure at all times.
✓Excellent attention to detail, written, and communication skills; must be able to read and write in English.
✓Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, principles of radiation physics, ALARA, radiographic equipment and positioning.
✓Must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 40 lbs (i.e., linen, supplies, patients).
✓Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and infection control situations.
✓Displays a positive attitude and professional appearance; exemplifies flexibility and willingness to adapt to the operational needs of the department and MGB.
