Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. OverviewThis job is located in Peoria,IL 24 hours a week

The Referral Specialist is responsible for the timely and efficient processing of referral orders. Organizes, coordinates, and communicates required information to patients, family members, providers, office staff, and insurance company representatives. Schedules appointments with specialists, facilities, patients, and obtains insurance precertifications and/or authorizations.

QualificationsREQUIRED

High School/GED

​1 year of work experience in a medical office setting Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Experience as a Medical Office Assistant. Experience with referral coordination Experience working with health insurance payors Basic knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-10OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
