Position Highlights: Position: HVAC Mechanic Job Type: Full-Time; Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM, On Call
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs air conditioning and refrigeration, hot water heating systems, boilers and steam systems, and all heating systems throughout the hospital and ancillary facilities as well as general maintenance duties. Duties include electronic controls of all HVAC equipment. Performs general maintenance duties as assigned for the hospital and ancillary facilities.
Including maintenance and repairs of electrical motors, pumps, and air systems in all critical areas. Monitors air systems dampers and fire control systems related to HVAC. Repairs and maintains kitchen and cafeteria equipment.
Participates in construction activities. Responsible for the installation of all HVAC equipment in renovation areas to include duct work and controls. Performs PM on all HVAC equipment while maintaining Joint Commission requirements by correcting equipment for compliance and completing Plan for Improvements (PFI).
Position installs valves, control panels, fans, gauges, and switches, fabricates, installs duct work, and sheet metal items, connects pipe and refrigerate components, test and adjust gauges and controls for more efficient operations. Cross trains to other trades. Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry.
No educational requirement. Two years of technical training or hospital experience required. OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
$33.00 - $36.30 per hour, depending on education and experience. Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
