About the role

Duties Description Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center (KFPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission-accredited facility, is recruiting Registered Nurses to join their nursing team. Positions are available on the night shift, including every other weekend. No previous psychiatric experience is required. As a Registered Nurse at KFPC, you are a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing compassionate care through patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with mental illness including:
Coordinating and providing nursing care
Conducting nursing assessments
Preparing, implementing, and modifying nursing care plans
Providing health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals and families
Implementing infection control protocols and procedures
Observing and recording an individual’s symptoms and care; reporting responses to medications or changes in health
