You’ll need
Certifications
✓BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly required and
✓NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and
✓ACLS – Advance Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and
✓NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
Education
✓Diploma in Nursing or
✓Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
✓One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
BSN preferred
Qualifications
✓RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care
✓CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually required and
One year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
