In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Monitors all aspects of operations promoting quality customer service and positive guest relations within the clinical areas via rounds and other feedback mechanismsAddresses and resolves patient/family complaints in real timeOversee competency, development, discipline, evaluations of assigned staffCollaborate with ED Leadership to plan and monitor consistency in communications and operations of the Emergency DepartmentMonitors clinical areas for cleanliness and adequacy of supplies and oversee the proper use and accountability of all equipmentRemains familiar with and strives for compliance with standards for accreditation and certifications by external agencies (JCAHO, OSHA, etc)Addresses disciplinary issues with employees and documents according to Medical Center guidelines completing required documentation and actionsParticipate in development, monitoring and evaluation of policies and procedures for all clinical areas of the Emergency DepartmentOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: Associate’s degree in Nursing requiredBachelor's degree in Nursing preferredRegistered Nurse licensure in North Carolina requiredWork
