Registered Nurse (RN), Mom/BabyBring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + TogetherWork location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013Work hours: PRN II, 7:00am – 7:00pm; 3 shifts per 6 week schedule requiredMom/Baby Department highlights:· Level II Maternal Designation with Level II NICU· Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist Based Model· 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms· 40 – 45 deliveries per month· Small team focused on BIG teamwork!

Here’s What You Need· Diploma in Nursing or· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required· BSN preferred· One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.· One year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred· Labor & Delivery experience preferred· RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly required and· CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually required and· NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and· ACLS – Advance Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and· NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
