You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
Certifications
✓Current BLS (required) –prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
✓Successful completion of the ONS - Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate within 6 months of hire required
OCN - Oncology Certified Nurse within 2 years of hire preferred
Education
✓Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma Required
✓One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
BSN preferred
Qualifications
✓CPI training within 90 days of hire (required)
2+ years of inpatient oncology RN experience and charge/preceptor skills (preferred)

Fast-Paced, high-volume Oncology Department (35 bed) . Patients are admitted to this floor for multiple diseases such as Leukemia, Sepsis, Lymphoma, Melanoma, Breast, Kidney/Pancreatic Cancers, pain management and med/surg overflow. · This is a mixed acuity unit.
