Position Details
Rotating shifts, Monday–Friday plus call Specialties: Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgery, Plastics & Reconstruction, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Urology, Urogynecology, and GI procedures About Our OR ~15,000 surgeries performed annually 14 Operating Rooms, 2 Procedure Rooms, 1 Cysto Room Support for OB ORs as needed Strong professional development culture, including AORN participation and Periop 101 Benefits & Support UPMC invests in nurses from day one with: Monthly Loan Repayment: Up to $20,000 over three years for eligible new graduates Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for experienced RNs Generous PTO: Up to 5.5 weeks annually + 7 paid holidays Career Ladders: Clear pathways for advancement Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $6,000 per academic year, plus no‑cost RN‑BSN/MSN options for employees Key Responsibilities Performs the scrub role (required for RNs hired on or after July 17, 2023) We are proactively building our candidate pipeline for future openings on our team.

Six months of previous nursing experience preferred Prior operating room experience preferred, but not required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Licensure, Certifications & Clearances UPMC‑approved national certification preferred Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license CPR required per AHA standards (didactic + skills demonstration within 30 days of hire) Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 34 clearance UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
