You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
Certifications
✓Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
✓Current APHON Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Provider Certification within 6 months of hire date.
CPHON Certification or other relevant specialty certification preferred
PALS preferred
Qualifications
✓Two (2) or more years of recent pediatric nursing experience with at least 1 year in oncology, or 2 years of other directly relevant clinical experience.
✓One (1) year of recent outpatient Infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy.
✓One (1) year of recent apheresis experience as a Registered Nurse
✓Experience administering infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, hydration, etc.
✓Must demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities. Ability to function independently and effectively with shifting priorities and considerable pressure.
✓Must be able to function under stress and with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
✓Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, team work, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management. See also Living Pride Standards.
✓Ability to delegate tasks in a style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork, seeking assistance as needed
✓ability to demonstrate leadership experience that support teamwork, professionalism, high quality patient experience, evidence based clinical practice, or other relevant topics.
Three (3) or more years of Pediatric Oncology Nursing experience. preferred
Membership in professional organizations is recommended preferred

BCH Oakland Day Hospital Infusion Center serves the Specialty populations at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. The treatments include but are not limited to apheresis, chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, hydration and electrolyte therapy, injections and blood draws, enzymes and iron infusions, and antibiotics.
