Registered Nurse, Perianesthesia/PACU - Methodist Hospital

The RN – Perianesthesia/PACU position manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel. This position is to work throughout Perianesthesia Department, to include Pre-Procedure Assessment, Pre-op, Phase I, Phase II, and Extended Recovery.

0.9 FTE; 12 hr, Day/Evening; Weekend only (WSP) - Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday Required

Graduate of a school of nursing; minimum of Associate degree/Diploma in Nursing required. New grads not considered. Current PACU experience is required.

Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines Must have ACLS on start date Must have PALS within 3 months of hire.

ICU, Critical Care, Emergency Center experience within the last five years. CPAN or CAPA certification preferred.
