What We OfferRegistered Nurse – Pulmonary Progressive CareSchedule: 7am-7pm, Full-time DaysDepartment: Pulmonary Progressive CareLocation: Forsyth Medical Center – Winston Salem, NCJoin one of the largest and most collaborative Progressive units in the hospital! Novant Health’s Pulmonary Unit cares for a diverse respiratory patient population, including those with pneumonia, COPD, pulmonary embolism, influenza, respiratory conditions, and more.

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, influenza, and respiratory failurePerform focused respiratory assessments and intervene early for patients with escalating oxygen and ventilatory needsManage specialized skills including: Tracheostomy and ventilated patient careCPAP/BIPAP and heated high-flow oxygen therapyChest tube managementAdministration of blood products and select IV dripsAdvanced respiratory assessment and interventionTracheostomy and ventilated patient managementCPAP/BIPAP & heated high flow oxygen therapyChest tube care and respiratory device management What We're Looking ForEducation:- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.- If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.

In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

One year of acute nursing experience required. Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required. Why Choose Novant Health?
