We invite you to join us in furthering your career and our accomplishments and philosophy of excellenceHere’s what you need· Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required· Master's Degree Nursing Preferred· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required· SCRN - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse or other nursing professional certification Upon Hire Preferred· 3 Years Med/Surg, Emergency or Critical Care Required· 3 Years Emergency or Critical Care Preferred The successful Chest Pain Center/Stroke Program Coordinator will have the following

· Effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills· Verbal and written skills in English· Advanced knowledge of current professional and health care issues and nursing practice· Must have general computer skills and a working knowledge of electronic heath records, MS Office, Outlook and the Internet.

· Analyzes data, distributes reports to appropriate team members and administrators· Manage data collection· Establishes and maintains a multi-disciplinary CQI program to include morbidity/mortality review· Assists in establishing standards of care, policies, and objectives of stroke/chest pain services· Establishes and Maintains Appropriate Special Programs Designation· Fulfills the standards for chest pain and stroke care as required by the appropriate surveying agencies, (i.e., Texas DSHS and Joint Commission)· Collaborates with chart abstraction team to ensure accuracy and timely reporting· Coordinates and facilitates provision of educational opportunities for staff, physicians, patients, external providers of care, and the community· Identifies relevant areas, initiates projects and participates on performance improvement teams· Represents department in a positive manner to hospital/system/community· Maintains current and active participation in professional organizations· Works effectively and productively with all members of the patient care team as well as family members/significant others and pre-hospitalization stakeholders· Collaborates with medical and administrative leaders to ensure positive relationships with local EMS agencies· Oversees and facilitates care and follow-up of patientsAdditional perks of being a Texas Health Employee· Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student Loan forgiveness as well as several other benefits.· Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.· A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.
