  • Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – PRN, Rotating shifts Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + TogetherWork location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132Work hours: PRN/per diem, Rotating shifts, PRN II: Minimum of 3 shifts in a 6-week schedule required, 1 weekend shift per 6-week scheduled, 1 major/1 minor holiday requirement Department Highlights48 bed ED; average population of 170 - 185 patients per day MAGNET facilityLevel III Trauma Center Primary Stroke centerSTEMI with PCI capabilitiesCare options ranging from minor to critical – both pediatric and adultEnjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance.Excellent opportunities for educational and career growth including advancement opportunities in leadership.Emergency Department - “Making it count when moments count”.Here’s what you need:Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hireCLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency ReqBCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly requiredACLS – within 90 days of hire requiredPALS – within 90 days of hire required ORENPC – within 12 months of hire requiredTNCC – within 12 months of hire requiredNIHSS – within 6 months of hire requiredCPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program requiredCurrent ED experience strongly preferred In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patientspossess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalismhave basic computer skills using medical management application systemsWhat You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • assesses the patient
  • plans the care of the patient
  • intervenes as appropriate
  • evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
