Our diverse case mix includes renal failure, respiratory failure requiring ventilator management, septic shock with MODS, hypovolemic shock, DKA with severe acidosis, and other complex critical care conditions. Our multidisciplinary Critical Care team includes intensivists, registered nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, case managers, social workers, and chaplains. Nurses are fully engaged and serve as active participants in patient rounds, case reviews, morbidity and mortality/performance improvement reviews, and critical care practice development.

Our cohesive, multidisciplinary team works together to create an environment where patients and families receive compassionate, comprehensive, whole-person care. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
