Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro Telemetry Full Time Nights Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano 6200 West Parker Road TX 75093-7914Work hours: Full-time |36 Hours / Week | Nights shift | 7pm – 7amNeuro Telemetry Department highlights:· 25 Bed unit that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth· Nurses improve quality of care for neuro tele patients such as scoliosis, post neuro surgeries, and stroke with multiple comorbidities.· Fast-Paced, high-volume department· The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs.· The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations.
Here’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program· BSN preferred· One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support and ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support and CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Req· RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· Assesses the patient· Plans the care of the patient· Intervenes as appropriate· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
