You’ll need
Certifications
✓BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required prior to providing independent patient care
✓NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Essential) (Required within 90 days of hire)
✓NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Required within 90 days of hire)
✓ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required within 90 days of hire)
Education
✓Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required
✓1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
BSN preferred
Qualifications
✓RN – Registered Nurse (Required upon hire)
✓maintained quarterly)
✓CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (Required within 90 days of hire; maintained annually)
✓IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
✓o If newly hired with experience in perinatal nursing and never taken IFM: Required within 6 months
✓o If no experience in perinatal nursing: Required within 18 months
At least 1 year of RN L&D experience (Strongly Preferred)
