Registered Nurse (RN) - POCU

Department: Pre-Op Reporting to the Director of Patient Care Services/Shift Manager/Designee, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Responsible for the preoperative preparation of patients, including baseline assessment, skin preparation as required, and completion of the surgical checklist.

Responsible for Phase II recovery of surgical patients including monitoring of physiological status, surgical wound care and discharge teaching. Minimum

BSN preferred Minimum Experience/Skills: Prefer two years Pre-op/Post-op experience License/Certificates/Credentials: Current: California RN license, ACLS and PALS certification within 3 months. TCAR required within 12 months of hire/transfer . For current employees within the department, TCAR must be obtained by October 1, 2019. #LI-ML2
