About the Department: The Medical Progressive Care Unit is a 15-bed unit with a 1:3 Nurse to Patient ratio With this focus on patient centered care, you will have more bandwidth to provide a holistic care approach In our unit, you'll develop a broader nursing skill set and encounter a wider variety of cases compared to other units Our patient demographic is highly mixed and diverse The Registered Nurse for PCU ensures the delivery of quality nursing care for acutely ill patients in accordance with age-related and individual needs, physician’s orders, hospital policy, standards of care and nursing practice.
Responsible for assessing the needs of patients, planning nursing care to meet those needs, and ensuring that the plan of care is carried out and documented according to the principles defined in the nursing process. Participates in the development of progressive care unit goals. Main
