As a School Registered Nurse (RN), you will: Provide nursing care and health services to students during the school day Assess and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school protocols Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions, including asthma, diabetes, seizures, and other medical needs Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans Maintain accurate health records and nursing documentation Collaborate with school staff, parents, healthcare providers, and administrators Promote student wellness through education and preventive health practices Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations Advocate for student health and safety to support academic success Qualifications Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Current BLS/CPR Certification Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred Previous school nursing, pediatric, homecare, community health, emergency department, or acute care experience is a plus Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school environment Experience working with children and adolescents preferred Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Make an Impact Where It Matters Most School nurses are an essential part of the educational team.
