Job OverviewOpened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This senior living community features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments. Two buildings make up this vibrant community and also encompass an on-site Intergenerational Child Care Center.

We are looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide who would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior assisted living residents’ physical and emotional well-being for our vibrant senior living in Minneapolis, MN.

This caregiver schedule includes;40 hours every two weeks ; Part TimeDay Short Shift ; 7:00am-12:00pmBlock

• Week 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and SundayWeek 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, and ThursdayEvery other weekend and holiday rotationResponsibilitiesPersonal Care Assistance:Supports residents with daily living activities, including:BathingFoot and fingernail careShavingDressingHair careFeedingToiletingAssistance with hearing aids and/or glasses1
• 2 person transfers and use of mechanical liftsHealth
• Related Support:Assists with treatments as outlined in individualized care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (e.g., blood glucose monitoring).Administers or assists with medications, including insulin injections, as directed by a Registered Nurse.Takes and records vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.Daily Living Support:May assist with household tasks including laundry, cleaning, meal service, and resident activities.Resident Observation & Reporting:Monitors and reports changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition (e.g., mood, appetite, weight).Communicates observations to appropriate staff and contributes relevant input to care planning.Acts as a mandated reporter, promptly reporting any concerns related to potential mistreatment.Emergency Response:Responds appropriately to resident needs and building emergencies, following established protocols.Required Qualificationsless than 1 year of experienceAbility to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machinesIf under 18, must be on the MN NA registryPreferred Qualifications1
