Certifications
✓§ Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry
✓§ Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
✓§ BLS
✓§ ACLS within 90 days of new hire or based upon course availability
✓§ PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
Education
✓Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate Degree
✓§ Type of degree: Applied Science or Equivalent
§ Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelors Degree
About the role
The Respiratory Therapist RT I functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT I is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served.
