Maintains an adequate amount of supplies, medication, and medical gas tanks within the department. Takes care of accumulating dirty equipment and the processing of equipment. Administers medications via nebulizer, as well as, participate in other forms of intermittent non-invasive patient care.

In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Maintains adequate amounts of supplies needed for the department Picks up dirty equipment and then processes them to maintain an adequate supply of clean, ready to use equipment Performs testing of Cidex and\or other solutions utilized by the department Administers continuous oxygen and continuous bland aerosol therapy per department guidelines Does not participate in invasive procedures (Intubations) or critical care (mechanical ventilation) Instruct patients in the use and performance of Incentive Spirometry Performs CPT per department guidelines Charges for all services provided inclusive of use of BCX system Performs Arterial punctures Other duties as assigned
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job: Education and Formal Training : High school diploma or equivalent required Registration with the NCRCB as an RCA required Enrolled student in good standing of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program required Work
