You’ll need
Licensure
✓Valid Nursing License with authorization to work in Iowa required
Certifications
✓Basic Certified Life Support certification required
✓Must possess Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or obtain within 6 months of hire.
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months from date of hire required
✓Must obtain NIHSS education within 90 days of hire and maintain every two years thereafter.
✓Completion of six hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually required.
✓MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behaviors) certified within the first 6 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment (renewal every year) required.
Education
✓Successfully completed an accredited nursing program required.
✓All newly licensed RNs with less than six (6) months of acute RN experience at the time of application are required to successfully complete the Nurse Residency program
BSN Preferred
Qualifications
✓Trauma Nurse Core Course required within one year of hire.
Prefer one (1) year of Emergency Department clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency. preferred
