The RN Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering competent, individualized nursing care to patients and families by utilizing the nursing process to augment the established medical plan of treatment. Operating with a strong team orientation, this nurse integrates sound clinical judgment and evidence-based decision-making to address the unique needs of each patient. The role emphasizes exceptional customer relations and professional communication, ensuring that care is delivered with both clinical precision and a high level of service excellence.

By maintaining a focus on safety and collaborative practice, the RN Staff Nurse serves as a vital advocate for the patient while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the healthcare team.5NT Hematology/Oncology is a 28 bed unit with an additional 9 bed bone marrow transplant unit. This unit cares for a specialized population of pediatric patients with cancer diagnoses and complex blood disorders. The dedicated bone marrow transplant unit functions similar to an ICU unit.

Nurses have the opportunity to cross-train to this area after gaining experience on the primary unit. Education/Experience:1 year of direct nursing experience required. Pediatric experience preferred.

Associate's in nursing. Active, unrestricted TX Registered Nurse (RN) license. BLS - American Heart Association.

Post hire Req:PALS or NRP and specialty certifications per unit guidelines.
