Tradition Hospital’s 3rd Floor Surgical Telemetry U nit provides top-quality care and monitoring to diverse populations of post-operative patients . Patients on this unit may have had their appendix or gall bladder removed, received spine surgery or have back, nerve or disc pain. As an RN on this team, you will assist with various support activities, including wound care, condition assessment, medication administration, dressing changes and more.
In this role, you can make a difference in the lives of patients and families every day, all while enhancing your nursing skills through extensive hands-on experience, nursing committees and advanced education opportunities . A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 A M – 7:30 P M. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans . Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions . Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders . Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families .
