Education
✓Current University of Arkansas System employees, including student employees and graduate assistants, need to log in to Workday via MyApps.
✓High school graduate, GED, or formal education equivalent plus (7) seven years of training and/or experience in business office administration, customer service, or related work of which three years’ experience is in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment OR
✓Bachelor's degree plus three years’ experience in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment.
Qualifications
✓Responsible for managing case requests ensuring accuracy and the completion of all required pre-authorizations and clinical screenings prior to placing on the schedule.
✓Schedulers monitor requested times for alignment with scheduling policies/procedures.
✓Schedulers are integral players in ensuring all capacity, access and utilization targets are met resulting in achievement of budgetary/revenue expectations.
✓Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check
✓This position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
✓A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant except as provided by law.
✓Any criminal history will be evaluated in relationship to job responsibilities and business necessity.
✓The information obtained in these reports will be used in a confidential, non-discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law.
