Security Officer

Under general supervision, provides security for patients, employees and visitors. Protects hospital buildings and assets. Qualifications Education • Required o High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Preferred o One year of experience in Public Contact Work o Completion of one year of an approved Security Officer Training Course Certification/Licensure:
• Required o Valid Texas Driver’s License o Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date o Level III SAFE Training
• Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date o Level II Security Training Licensure with authorization from the State of Texas
• Must obtain within sixty (60) days of start date. If failure to obtain certification will be subjected to termination. Page 4 of 4 Created:10/21/2004
• Revised:4/1/2025 o Level III Security Training Licensure with authorization from the State of Texas
• Must obtain within (6) months of start date. If failure to obtain certification will be subjected to termination. Recertification is required every two (2) years.
