Certifications
✓Must complete and pass Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training within 90 days of hire.
POST skills completed, International Association of Hospital Safety and Security (Basic), First Responder, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or OSHA first responder certifications preferred.
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), a plus. preferred
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Business, Psychology or Sociology preferred.
Qualifications
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
✓Ability to work independently and as a team.
✓Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
✓Ability to retain knowledge, information, and directions on an ongoing basis and communicate effectively with others.
✓Ability to comprehend numerous policies, procedures, concepts and to be able to make decisions using discretion and interpretive judgment based on general and specific policies.
✓Ability to maintain accurate records.
✓Must be customer service oriented.
✓Ability to walk and climb stairs.
✓Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
✓Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
✓Ability to see and hear accurately in both day and nighttime conditions.
✓Skill in operating portable radio devices.
✓Ability to detect irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations.

Prior experience responding and intervening in emergency situations such as crisis de-escalation, intervention, detainment of suspects, reporting and investigating incidents, and enforcing organizational policy preferred.
Prior Law Enforcement or security experience preferred.
Emergency Operations Center experience preferred.
Healthcare knowledge/experience preferred.
Knowledge of verbal and physical de-escalation, use of force continuum and arrest laws preferred.
