Licensure
✓Active licensure with the Montana Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in good standing
✓Actively continues education to keep abreast of Pharmacy law and to maintain current licensure.
Qualifications
✓required.
✓Minimum of one (1) year experience as a hospital Pharmacy Technician with demonstrated competency in IV admixtures; required.
✓Proficient working knowledge of aseptic technique for preparing sterile products.
✓RQI Responder within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first; required.
✓Proficient typing skills; required.
✓Must have an understanding of medical terminology and calculations. Must have fluent knowledge of medication brand and generic names.
✓Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and exhibit empathy.
✓Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
✓Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
✓Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
✓Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Prior experience in Pharmacy Systems and Electronic Health Records preferred. Possess ability to learn other software as needed.
