ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Full-time Specimen Processing Technician to work in the General Laboratory.
The work hours are evening shift, Monday through Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm. This position requires every other weekend and 2-3 holidays per year. Principal Duties and
Process, sort, and deliver laboratory specimens and request slips Print and properly affix identification labels to all incoming patient specimens Prioritize incoming work, ensuring samples for stat testing are delivered to the appropriate laboratory section in order to maintain stated turnaround times Communicate specimen priority to testing personnel upon delivery
Associate degree or higher in biology, chemistry or health science required or a High School diploma with at least five years of experience working in specimen processing from similar hospital system. $19.48 - $28.24 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
