- EDUCATION Masters' Degree or equivalent in speech and language pathology or in communication disorders, as shown by valid California State Speech Pathologist License EXPERIENCE 2-3 years progressively increasing responsibility experience as a speech and language pathologist in an acute care hospital or health care setting, preferred. - Ability to establish rapport, counsel objectively and in a positive manner, explain test results and therapy plans in a manner consistent with the family's, staff's or client's communication ability, and ability to ask which will give the most pertinent information
- Must have knowledge of all aspects of speech/language pathology, learning disabilities, non-verbal communication systems, normal human development and, laws which govern the profession
