The Senior Consultant, Enterprise Growth serves as a senior strategic advisor responsible for leading high-impact growth initiatives that advance Emplify Health’s long-term strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Growth, this role partners with senior leaders across the enterprise to identify, evaluate, develop, and implement strategic growth opportunities that strengthen the organization’s market position, improve access to care, and support sustainable growth.
Working across Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, Market Intelligence, Service Line Strategy, and Enterprise Growth Planning, this position provides strategic analysis, business insight, and consulting expertise that informs executive decision-making. The Senior Consultant translates enterprise strategy and annual business planning into actionable growth initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, market dynamics, financial stewardship, and operational capabilities.
As a trusted internal consultant, this individual collaborates extensively with executive leaders, physicians, operational leadership, finance, strategy, legal, business analysis, and master facility planning teams to support enterprise growth initiatives throughout their lifecycle. This position routinely works with highly confidential strategic, financial, competitive, and transactional information and is expected to exercise exceptional judgment, discretion, professionalism, and executive presence while representing the Enterprise Growth function.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field required. Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH or related discipline) prefferd.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare strategy, business development, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, strategic planning, management consulting, or related field. Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional strategic initiatives. Experience developing executive-level analyses, recommendations, and business cases.
Experience influencing senior leaders without direct authority. Experience within the healthcare industry preffered. Experience working within an integrated healthcare delivery system prefferd.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, or strategic partnerships prefferd. Knowledge of healthcare market dynamics, reimbursement, and regulatory environments preffered.
Enterprise Growth Strategy Serve as a strategic advisor supporting enterprise growth priorities across the health system. Translate organizational strategy and annual business planning priorities into actionable growth initiatives. Identify opportunities to expand services, strengthen market position, improve patient access, and enhance long-term organizational sustainability.
Develop strategic recommendations supported by market, financial, operational, and competitive analysis. Support enterprise growth initiatives from concept development through implementation. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Identify, evaluate, and develop new business development opportunities aligned with enterprise strategy.
Assess strategic partnerships, affiliations, joint ventures, and service expansion opportunities. Develop business cases and executive-level recommendations supporting growth investments. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams in evaluating strategic opportunities.
Support negotiations and relationship development with prospective partners as appropriate. Mergers & Acquisitions Lead strategic assessment of merger, acquisition, affiliation, and partnership opportunities. Coordinate due diligence activities across operational, financial, clinical, legal, and strategic workstreams.
Develop executive summaries and recommendations supporting investment decisions. Assist with transaction planning, integration readiness, and post-transaction implementation planning. Maintain awareness of healthcare industry consolidation trends and competitive activity.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Analysis Monitor healthcare market trends, competitive activity, demographic changes, reimbursement dynamics, and emerging industry developments. Conduct market assessments identifying opportunities, risks, and strategic implications. Develop service line market analyses supporting growth planning and investment decisions.
Utilize internal and external data sources to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats. Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and strategic analyses. Service Line Growth Planning Partner with service line and operational leaders to translate annual business plan priorities into actionable growth strategies.
Facilitate structured planning sessions that identify strategic growth opportunities and measurable objectives. Challenge assumptions through market research, financial analysis, operational assessment, and competitive intelligence. Assist leaders in prioritizing initiatives based upon strategic value, organizational capacity, and financial return.
Monitor progress of growth initiatives and provide ongoing strategic support. Enterprise Growth Planning & Portfolio Support Support management of the enterprise growth opportunity pipeline. Maintain visibility into enterprise growth initiatives and strategic priorities.
Develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that communicate growth progress and organizational impact. Coordinate activities across Strategy, Finance, Operations, Business Analysis, Real Estate, Master Facility Planning, Legal, and other enterprise partners. Support preparation of materials for executive leadership review and strategic planning activities.
