✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Maintains a current license to work in the State of Rhode Island.
Certifications
✓Must hold current ARRT certification.
✓Must hold a current CPR certification from AHA, BLS for Healthcare Providers
✓Completion of the qualification process for the Technologist II position by obtaining two letters of recommendation within the previous three months from technical, supervisory, or medical staff members in Diagnostic Imaging attesting to the technologist’s level of professionalism and technical
✓Successful completion of clinical experience required for certification.
Education
✓Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
Qualifications
✓Ability to consistently meet the following job accountabilities: critical thinking, interpersonal skills, team membership, customer focus, initiative, and reliability.
✓Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span, with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
✓The program shall be approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technology for the equivalent of at least one continuing education unit.•Hold an office in or actively serve on a clinical practice committee of a professional organization relevant to the technologist’s radiographic
✓:3+ years of imaging experience, including at least two years at The Miriam Hospital.
✓Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, physicians and staff of all levels and display empathy towards all patients.
✓WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Healthcare environment such as acute care hospitals, physicians’ offices, and ancillary healthcare enterprises.
✓Works with medical equipment and has direct patient contact.
✓Any potential hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions including use safety equipment and protective clothing.
✓Walks and stands intermittently throughout the day.
✓Subject to electrical and energy hazards.
✓May lift and position patients and lift supply up to 50 pounds.INDEPENDENT ACTION:Incumbent functions independently within a broad scope of department policies and practices
✓generally, refers specific problems to manager only where clarification of department policies and procedures may be required.
