You’ll need
Licensure
✓Must hold a current license to practice medicine in the State of California.
✓Must hold Board Certification in Psychiatry.
✓Maintains an active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
Education
✓Knowledge of current psychiatric diagnosis and treatment principles relating to general practice, and specifically to the college/university population.
✓Knowledge of issues of special importance to youth groups and college age adults, including drug and alcohol use, eating disorders, chemical dependency and abuse, ADHD, LD, etc. Awareness of developmental issues as they relate to young adults transitioning into new living environments.

Qualifications
✓Knowledge of standard of psychiatric care in the greater community.
✓Skills in diagnostic evaluation.
✓Sensitivity to issues relating to all forms of diversity including but not limited to culture, sexual orientation, gender, and socioeconomic status.
✓Knowledge of accreditation requirements relating to psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, record-keeping, and electronic medical records.
✓MD, or recognized equivalent.
✓As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct
✓received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct
✓have left a position after receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct
✓or have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous employer.
