Licensure
✓A State of Maryland Stationary Engineers License is required (1st Class or 2nd Class)
Education
✓High school, trade or vocational school graduate, or equivalent.
Qualifications
✓At least three (3) years’ experience in boiler room or related area.
✓Ability to operate engines and machinery necessary to heat and air-condition the hospital. Ability to read and follow instruction in operations manual.
✓Must have a working knowledge of computerized Building Management Systems.

The Stationary Engineer 1st Class/2nd Class 0perates, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots Steam, Chiller Plant and HVAC equipment. Through the use of a computerized management system, controls temperatures and regulates the HVAC system to assure patient and staff comfort at all times .
