You’ll need
Certifications
✓Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST or CSPDT) required within 18 months of employment
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of surgical instruments, hospital equipment, and medical terminology
✓Strong verbal and written communication skills
✓Ability to respond effectively to urgent and emergency supply needs
✓Ability to lift and move items over 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
One year of experience in Central Sterile Processing preferred
Previous hospital-based sterile processing experience preferred
Basic computer skills and experience with instrument tracking systems preferred

About the role
The Sterile Processing Technician II will be responsible for preparing OR surgical case carts and performing decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of reprocessable supplies, equipment, and surgical instruments in compliance with hospital standards. This role requires knowledge of all sterilization modalities, monitoring of sterilization processes, and use of instrument tracking systems.
