Education
✓HS Diploma: High School Diploma or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience
Qualifications
✓Two years experience in Sterile Processing Department.
✓Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate the ability to be a resource to Sterile Processing Tech I staff by effectively training new employees, answering questions appropriately, providing accurate and complete information regarding departmental procedures and demonstrating good communication sk
✓Must be able to read, write and speak English, communicate and work effectively with hospital employees, sales representatives; internal and external customers, perform simple mathematical functions and handle a large volume of detailed work accurately.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Elementary computer procedures as they apply to equipment, supply tracking, ordering and preference / pick list generation; knowledge of basic inventory control concepts and PAR level systems; knowledge of medical terminology, surgical instrumentation, supplies, equipment. preferred
