Certifications
✓If highest level of education is associate’s degree: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician.

Education
✓Associate’s degree in medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science, or clinical laboratory science AND 4 years' Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) laboratory training or experience AND 1 year experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities
✓Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology AND 2 years' CLIA laboratory training or experience AND 1 year experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities (such as technical lead, coordinator or key
Qualifications
✓Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively and communicate with patients and other health care professionals.
✓High level of professionalism and skillful performance in stressful situations, ability to develop and sustain strong staff and interdepartmental relationships.
✓Strong analytical and organizational skills necessary to organize and direct the work of others and effectively manage multiple tasks and initiatives.
✓Moderate proficiency with Microsoft applications and solid computer skills.
