Licensure
✓Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
Certifications
✓BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
✓ACLS – within 90 days required
✓PALS – within 90 days required
✓TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire required
Education
✓Associate Degree in Nursing required
BSN preferred
Qualifications
✓CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
✓CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
✓2-years’ experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) required
✓Current ED experience
✓In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will
✓demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

About the role

For minor care needs, the ED offers a Quick Care area designed to expedite care and patient experience. Those requiring more extensive workups will be taken to one of the diagnostic rooms.
